Private Full-Day Pottery Experience for Friends & Family

Your Day The experience begins with a warm welcome, tea, coffee and biscuits, followed by a step-by-step introduction to hand-building techniques. Together, you’ll craft unique pieces such as bowls or mugs using slab and coil methods, adding your personal touches. A delicious, home-cooked lunch provides a break to unwind and enjoy the gallery space before diving into the art of wheel throwing. An engaging demonstration will introduce key techniques like wedging, centering, and lifting the clay on the wheel. Then, with guidance from our tutor, you’ll have plenty of time to play and create your own pieces on the wheel. Afternoon refreshments allows time to recharge before refining your creations. By the end of the session, you’ll each choose one or two pieces from both techniques to be glazed and fired by our team. These will be ready for collection or delivery (postage fees apply). With all tools, materials, refreshments, and professional instruction included, this private pottery experience is a wonderful way to spend quality time together while exploring the versatility of ceramics in a supportive and creative environment.
