Your Day Your day begins with a welcome over tea and coffee, followed by an introduction to the studio and materials. We’ll then dive straight into teaching you a variety of hand-building techniques such as slab building, coiling, and pinching. You’ll learn how to craft beautiful and functional forms like bowls, mugs, or sculptural vessels, experimenting with textures and decorating using slips and underglazes. As the session concludes we’ll have a group review of your work, during which you can select one or two pieces to be finished. These will be carefully glazed in your choice of house finishes and fired. You can collect your pieces once ready or arrange for postage (additional costs apply). With all tools, materials, expert guidance, and refreshments provided, this immersive experience is the perfect introduction to clay.
