Newton Expansion Pins are used alongside Newton’s range of fixing plugs for their CDM System cavity drain membranes and Newtonite System damp proofing membranes. When inserted into a CDM MultiPlug, CDM Brick Plug or Newtonite Cob Plug, the pin causes the fixing to expand its circumference by nearly 2mm and tighten the plug into the substrate, creating a more secure and stable fixing. Newton Expansion Pins are automatically supplied with Newtonite Cob Plugs (A17), however they must be ordered as a separate item for use with the CDM MultiPlug (A1) or CDM Brick Plug (A3).
